Maps…oh how I love maps

I just bought a new fantasy novel (In the Service Of The King, by Katherine Kurtz) and I immediately sat down and devoured over the map on the inside.

TableTop RPGs are just as much fun. I love pouring over maps and letting my imagination soar. As my eyes rove over the wonderful details, the stories start to write themselves.

And while I can appreciate almost any map, beautiful renditions made by brilliant artists take the entire experience to a whole new level. And that experience occurred here as I had a chance to be involved with the process of working with Marc Sintes in generating the Seattle Sprawl poster-sized map that’s included in the digital box (and of course even better once the physical box is available down the line).

Now don’t get me wrong…the entire box we just released in the Seattle Sprawl Digital Box is filled with awesome-sauce…but for me, that sprawl poster is that icing on the cake that’ll spark a thousand stories coming out of the rest of the books.

Enjoy the Seattle shadows, chambers!
